We provide retreats for students in Year 3 to Sixth Form in Schools and Sixth Form colleges.
A typical retreat lasts four days, either Monday - Thursday or Thursday to Sunday. A retreat offers young people the opportunity to have a break from their busy lives to look at what really matters to them. Each retreat follows the themes of Awareness, Reconciliation and Good News.
We usually operate two retreats each week during term-time:
one begins with supper at 6.30 pm on Monday and ends approx 11.30 am on Thursday;
the other begins at 6.30 pm on Thursday and ends approx 11.30 am on Sunday.
The hope for our retreat programme is that it will help you:
to get to know and understand yourself better, and to appreciate yourself more;
to make new friends with students from the other schools that will be here with you;
to appreciate more the place of God in our world and in your life;
celebrating our faith together.
We can accommodate about 60 students and their accompanying staff. We consider a mix of schools to be an important part of the retreat, we offer approximately 12 places to each of the four/five schools that are invited to attended together. There are, however, exceptions to this and we aim to meet your requirements wherever possible, so please contact us if you would like to arrange something slightly different.
Accompanying adults are required to undertake the supervision of the students at night time and to have some pastoral care of them. It is therefore essential for the adults to reflect the male-female balance of the students.
The cost for a normal four day programme is £111 per student, with two accompanying staff staying free of charge. We are able to offer Friday - Sunday retreats and can also provide tailored programmes.
