At St. Cassian’s we facilitate a 48hr (weekend) Confirmation retreat.
It offers an opportunity for young people and their accompanying catechists to reflect on their lives in the context of their Confirmation.
The programme includes looking at the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how to be a modern day disciple through games, small group discussions and reflections and prayer, concluding with Mass. We want to help to bring the group together; this will be different depending on whether the group is all from one parish, on whether most attend the same school or come from a variety of schools, and at what stage is their preparation. |

OUR AIM:
|
|
St. Cassian’s does not have a resident priest, but Fr Peter Hunter OP, a Dominican priest from Blackfriars, Oxford, is usually available to celebrate Mass for us on Sunday morning. However, if your group is able to bring a priest along please let us know.
To help us achieve these goals, we ask for the following information:
- How voluntary is the young people’s attendance? (on your Confirmation programme and at Kintbury)
- What are the ages of the young people?
- Are they mostly from one school, or many?
- Are they Catholic schools or not?
- At what stage of their Confirmation programme is this retreat taking place?
- Are you able to bring a priest with you?
